Beauty & Eyes

I have been out of my element lately... no inspiration... my husband is in China and he's been away for so long, maybe that's why...

But anyway, i gave digital another shot tonight... i used the template by Jen Caputo and digital elements by Shabby Princess - Sweet Serenity collection.

This pic was taken by my hubby two months ago. Back in March, I was contemplating on getting a DSLR camera. I ended up buying a super zoom instead. I figured the DLSR was too expensive at the time. The image quality is as good as an SLR and it can save in RAW format. I love how this pic turned out - very crisp.

Some people have very expensive gadgets and yet do not have amazing output. But to them it was probably one of their best. So i came up with a conclusion that it is not all about the camera... or the gadgets... what you think is good is because you see it as good... beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. And this is what this layout is about.

Older but Wiser

Another birthday card done tonight... and i finished it in an hour! :) It's almost midnight and i have to snooze soon. I hate to drag myself out of bed tomorrow morning for work. Anyway, i made this card really simple and colorful. It's a birthday - it's gotta be in a happy mood. :)

Materials:
Card kit, vellum quote - Colorbuk
Ribbon, patterned paper - KI Memories

Birthday Card

My friend finally received the card i made for her last weekend... now i can upload it. My friends and i communicate through email almost everyday trying to flood each others' inbox, and the birthday girl was hinting on getting gift cards. How funny that i was thinking of giving her that even before she mentioned it. So i tried to make the gift card part of the birthday card. The ribbon in front is a gift card holder inside.

Materials:
Paper - KI Memories
Ribbon and flower - the Paper Studio
Craft thread

I have yet to make 4 more cards for upcoming birthdays in May to July. Fun... fun... fun!

San Antonio

My hubby and i spent a day and a half in San Antonio two weekends ago. It's always fun to hang out on the riverwalk... watching tourists walk by, enjoying yummy food, the ambiance says it all both day and night. Below are some shots i took while strolling by the river. Those ducks were the cutest little things!

And of course the best part of the trip was the stopover at the outlet mall along the way hehe. We ate so much during lunch we needed to walk around - the perfect excuse to window shop! :)

Mother's Day Cards

I haven't done any pages in a while, so today i tasked myself to make mother's day cards for both my mom and my mother-in-law. The floral design inside the cards are digital - using the Japanese Foliage brush in photoshop. I found this free brush online long time ago but i forgot the site :(

The design for both cards on the inside are somewhat similar, i figured they lived in different states anyway so i made it easy on myself :) Some parts of the front design for the first card below was lifted from Patricia Komara - she has awesome cards!

This can pass for a hybrid card... i think... lol! I hope they like it!
